Hey everyone,
Today I ordered the puzzles and they should be here on time. The hardcopies of the institute of medicine report are in and the rooms are booked for the seminars. Carrie is also checking if she can upload a PDF version of the report to TUSK so that we only have to buy 1 copy and everyone can see it. Sarah talked to Keith White (the director of evaluation and assessment at Tufts) about the pre and post tests and I sent the questions to Kristin Dardano as well to get more feedback. I made a list of common definitions for the binders for the students which I will email to you with my sources in case you want to make changes or add words for me to define. I also looked into transportation for the tour and determined that for everyone to go in one vehicle, you would have to rent a 12 passenger van for one day, which would cost about $130. We have been emailing back and forth with Maureen from New North Citizen's Council all day and she confirmed our dates and times that we sent her and suggested some places for food, such as El Pilon (Dominican), Frigo's (Italian) andGus and Paul's (Jewish and potentially kosher). She also said that she can be a tour guide for the Springfield tour if we can get the vehicle.
I am not going to be here on Thursday, but I will come in on Monday instead. Next week I will get the binders for the students together (I'm already working on it), put the folders for the panelists together, create an evaluation sheet for the panelists, and work on whatever else you all need.
See you next week and sorry for the scatteredness of this post.
Welcome
Hi everyone,
I've created this blog so that we can all have one place to put any thoughts or ideas that we would like to share with the whole group. It can serve as an easy and quick way to follow what everyone else is doing and to ask questions of everyone. This may be a little easier than email because all messages are saved in one place and you won't have to go searching through your emails to find old messages. You can also post links to this blog on the side panel. Just to let you know how it works, if you have a new topic, then you can create a new post in the upper right hand corner and if you would like to respond to someone else's post, there is a comments button in the bottom right hand corner of each post where you can go to make comments or ask/answer questions. It also shows a little number to tell how many comments have been made so you know when someone comments on your post. Let me know what you all think of this, whether you want to use it or just use emails and meetings, or if you have questions.
